Invasives Procedures in Motion

„Lessons from the Past, Criticism of the Present, and Visions for the Future“ originated as the motto of our 2008 Symposium.
The future that we talked about is today.
New applications of pulsed radiofrequency had been proposed, and we are now anxious to learn about and discuss the current data.

Recent techniques in interventional pain therapy, including newer instruments, will be presented. However, the anticipation of exciting possibilities for the future should not lead us to disregard the present. An update on neuromodulating options (SCS, ITT) will also be a main topic, as will specific syndromes such as CRPS and facial pain.
When performing interventional modalities, it is essential to know exactly what to do as well as what to avoid. Therefore, possible complications that must be considered when treating patients with these methods will be elucidated.

The great success of our last symposium, which was attended by pain specialists and experts from all over the world, has encouraged and motivated us to continue the pursuit of expanding and sharing valuable knowledge on interventional pain therapies.
On behalf of our team at the Center for Pain Medicine, we would be delighted to welcome you to our 4th Symposium at the Swiss Paraplegic Center in Nottwil, Switzerland, in January 2011.

Sincerely,

Wolfgang Schleinzer, MD, MSc Prof. Menno E. Sluijter En-Chul Chang, MD, MSc
