Static and Dynamic Foot-Pressure Measurement

In cases of foot pain, it is necessary to determine whether the cause is a static condition such as malpositioned toes, foot deformities, or incorrect weight-bearing. In addition, it is important to differentiate whether pain occurs on standing or during walking. Foot-pressure distribution can be measured during both walking and standing, and represents a useful addition to the clinical examination. The measurements can also be important for optimal adjustment of orthopaedic shoes or sole inserts.
